PINK CALCITE IS A CALCIUM CARBONATE MINERAL THAT CRYSTALLIZES IN ENORMOUS FORMATIONS. THE ROSE COLORED HUES COMES FROM MICROSCOPIC INCLUSIONS OF MANGANESE. IT HAS A HARDNESS OF 3 ON THE MOH’S SCALE, MEANING THE STONE IS A SOFT STONE AND SHOULD BE HANDLED WITH CARE. THE COLOR CAN VARY FROM A BLUSHING PINK TO A DEEP MAGENTA. UNDER A UV LIGHT IT EMITS A RADIANT PINK THAT MAKES IT A MUCH SOUGHT AFTER STONE.
