IT OCCURS WHEN HEMATITE ENTERS INTO THE CRYSTALLINE STRUCTURE OF THE AMETHYST DURING THE IRRADIATION PROCESS, RESULTING IN THE COLOR PINK. IT HAS A HARDNESS ON THE MOH’S SCALE OF 7. IT IS KNOWN AS THE STONE OF PASSION.
